This cook book brings us back to the turn of the century giving us insight into how meals were prepared along with a nice collection of vintage advertising. It is interesting to read the different tables of measure, such as "Aspeck makes one-quarter saltspoon", "Four saltspoons make one teaspoon", "Two gills make one cup"...and so on! Along with these is a treasure of recipes and information that has been lost to us over the last century.
Washburn-Crosby Co. of Minneapolis, Minn compiled this book to promote their "Gold medal Flour" whose catch motto was "The Thousandth Sack Of Gold Medal Flour is Exactly The Same As The First Sack". It is in very good condition considering it's age. This book from 1904 is an excellent source of past culinary information or perfect to add to any collection!
